2025 英語村　新入生オリエンテーション

新年度、入学式を終えた新一年生たちを対象に4月9日（水）、4月10日（木）英語村コミュニケーションスペースにて新入生英語村オリエンテーションが行われました。

最初はスタッフ紹介に始まり、各自に渡されたパスポートの説明、施設の利用方法、ルールなどが英語で説明されました。「大切なことはHELLO Villageで楽しみながらできる限りたくさんの英語を使用することです。」というクリス村長の言葉に新入生たちは緊張した面持ちで大きくうなずいていました。

次に行われた「Kris’ Pub Quiz Challenge」で少し緊張をほぐし、ミニイベントを体験しました。

最後に、近々、英語村で行われる予定のイベントが紹介されました。

10日のお昼休みは、新入生もお弁当を持って英語村へ現れ、２・３年生に交じってALT達と会話を楽しんでいました。外のデッキも含めて130人以上の生徒でにぎわっていました。

HELLO Village held its annual Orientation for first-year students on April 9th and 10th in the Communication Space.

The session began with an introduction of the HELLO Village staff,
followed by a guided activity where students filled out important
information in their newly issued HELLO Village Passports. The
orientation continued in English, with an explanation of how to use HELLO Village, its rules, and the overall concept behind the space. When the mayor, Kris, emphasized that the most important rule is to “come to HELLO Village and enjoy as much English as you can,” students nodded enthusiastically in agreement, showing their
determination.

After the explanation, students had the chance to relax and have
fun during “Kris’ Pub Quiz Challenge,” where they teamed up with
friends to solve English quizzes in a friendly, casual atmosphere.

To wrap up the session, upcoming events were introduced:

April 24 – Easter Party
April 30 – PDWC World Debate and Exchange Report Session /
Vietnam Field Work Report Session
May 2 – Study Abroad Guidance
May 27 – Pub Quiz Event

During lunchtime after orientation, HELLO Village saw lively crowds of over 130 students, including many enthusiastic first-years
alongside second and third-year students. The room buzzed with
friendly conversations in English as students interacted with ALTs in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
